today when I was walking Ricco some lady riding a bike shouted "your dog is beautiful!!" and I pretended she was talking to me and that she said " YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL" and that she was a lone paparazzo so I stopped and posed for a picture.

5/18/06 04:01 pm - senior column suckaaaaas

I don't think that I have really learned anything new this year concerning "life lessons", but rather have come to believe more strongly in what I had already known to be true. Senior year can be lots of different things for different people, but we all have to change this year in one way or another. For some, their senior year of high school can be one of the most transitional years that they can face. Most of us are becoming legal adults, we are leaving a place we have spent the last four years at, and some of us are moving away from home to other cities and states. I think that change is a good thing, but I do know people who aren't very fond of the idea. I hope you realize that change is inevitable and the sooner you accept that it is going to happen, the better. I can't and won't hide that I don't think making new friends is that big of a deal. There is nothing wrong with wanting to expand what you know, to want to get new insight on things and to meet new people. Actually, I applaud the idea of making new friends. This doesn't mean that you are abandoning your old friends; in some cases it can actually make you appreciate them more.

That being said, I am grateful for everyone that I have met these past four years. Because of you I have learned a little bit more about who I am, who I want to be and what I value in this world. I am lucky to have found the people that are in my life right now. These people are all genuinely interesting, they are diverse in what they like and are interested in things that I would never ever have even considered being interested in. They have opened my eyes to new ideas and music, new jokes and dance moves, different books and what I think is funny. Most of my friends are moving away to go to college and I want only the best for them. I hope you all are happy and successful in whatever you do.

For me this year really hasn't been hectic or stressful. I wish that it had been because I know the reason why it wasn't: it was because I was just too lazy to do much of anything. If I were to go back and redo anything, it would be that. I wish that I would have applied myself more and that I would have tried to do my absolute best instead of settling for mediocrity. There is one thing that I am exceptionally proud of though, this year’s staff. I have never had so much fun in a class as I did in fourth hour. Hopefully whenever we hear our names called we will remember and think, AT THE TOP!

The one thing that I wish I had more of is time. I wish I had more time to repair what I have done wrong, to try and mend relationships that fallen apart. It is only a wish though, and I have learned this year that time never acts how you want it to, so there really is no point in wasting precious time wishing for more of it. I don't believe that everything happens for a reason, but I do think that things happen for no reason at all and I would rather not waste my life trying to figure out why that is.

today in the newslab someone said if our staff was like x-men who would we all be? and then someone told me I would be Jean Grey so I searched that name on Google and I guess this her:

I'm kinda mad though, I don't even know what makes her special. I don't even know who anyone else was.
